Focus Systems Signs Exclusive Authorized Forensic Training Deal with AccessData Group
Also Begins Selling FTK5, the Latest Version of Forensic Toolkit
Focus Systems Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Keiichi Mori) has signed an exclusive deal
with major U.S. digital forensics company AccessData Group (Lindon, Utah; CEO: Tim Leehealey) to deliver
authorized forensic training in Japan. Focus Systems will begin conducting authorized training delivered by
certified trainers in November 2013 that will provide government/law enforcement inspectors and customers in
charge of IT at major corporations which use FTK for computer analytical investigations with the latest
knowledge. This is also tied to a further expansion of sales channels for FTK5, which has new functions such as
visualization built in as standard features.
A leading company in the forensics field, AccessData Group is the manufacturer of Forensic Toolkit (FTK), a
software package used worldwide. FTK is comprehensive forensic software equipped with all of the search,
restoration, data acquisition, password analysis, registry analysis, and malware analysis functions needed for
investigation and analysis of electronic devices such as computers. With standard functions such as visualization
and optional functions like Cerberus (malware triage function), the latest version, FTK5, has further expanded
the scope of use.
Compared to other forensic software, FTK is a product whose interface is particularly user-friendly and intuitive,
and training is extremely effective in enabling users with little experience who beginning an investigation to use
forensic products effectively. What’s more, taking part in training makes it possible to provide peace of mind to
customers who are considering purchasing the product but are worried about being able to use it.
Starting in November, the following two types of training will be offered:
1. AccessData Boot Camp
This training supplies knowledge and skills in order to make effective use of FTK and its constituent tools
(FTK Imager, Password Recovery Toolkit (PRTK), Registry Viewer).
2. Windows Forensics - Microsoft Windows 7
Windows Forensics - Microsoft Windows 7 is training that supplies knowledge and skills in order to
investigate and analyze Windows 7 OS architecture and file systems using FTK and its constituent tools (FTK
Imager, Password Recovery Toolkit (PRTK), Registry Viewer).
