Back Campus Fields Project

Construction of the Back Campus Fields will involve excavation of the existing fields, installation of a drainage
system, relocation of existing services and installation of new fencing, lighting, walkways and artificial turf.
The construction will be completed in two phases with a break in construction over the winter.
2013 Phase: July 1, 2013 – December 15, 2013
2014 Phase: April 1, 2014 – July 15, 2014
The contractor for this project is Bondfield Construction Ltd. During the construction phase the site will be under the
control of Bondfield Construction Ltd. and access will be restricted.
To facilitate the construction of this project Tower Road will be closed to all vehicles during construction. The East
side of Tower Road will remain open for use by pedestrians and bicycles only. Accessible parking on Tower Road,
at Wycliffe and behind University College will not be available during construction. Three temporary accessible
parking spots will be created around Hart House Circle to accommodate persons in and around this area of
Campus. Alternate plans for garbage and recycling at University College have been developed and will be
implemented during these times. Between December 15, 2013 and April 1, 2014 there will be no construction
activity on the site. During the break in construction Tower Road will be re-opened and normal operations will be
scheduled in this area. Construction will resume during the 2014 Phase in April 1, 2014 along with the closure of
Tower Road.
Every effort will be made to keep noise levels and disruption to a minimum. Building services shut downs (electrical,
mechanical, etc.) required will be kept to a minimum. Prior to any power disruptions sufficient notice will be sent to
all building occupants.
