Master Nursing Faster: AAS To MSN Nursing
Concurrent Enrollment Program
If you’re a prospective nurse who brings
a bachelor’s degree in another field to
your pursuit of a nursing career,
MaricopaNursing and Grand Canyon University (GCU) have developed
a program to help you earn your Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
degree sooner.
The MaricopaNursing-GCU Associate in Applied Science in Nursing to
MSN Concurrent Enrollment Program (AAS-MSN NCEP) allows you to
take six core nursing courses from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) program at GCU concurrently with your AAS courses at
MaricopaNursing. Once you complete your AAS and BSN courses and
pass the NCLEX, you move directly into your MSN.*
Jumpstart your nursing career. Learn hands-on nursing skills and core
competencies of the highly sought-after bachelor’s-prepared nurse.*
Take a step forward, not sideways. Progress to an MSN without
duplicating bachelor’s coursework.
Set yourself apart from the competition. Develop clinical reasoning,
critical thinking and problem-solving skills to put you ahead of the 60%
of nurses who graduate with an associate degree or diploma in nursing.
Additionally, your commitment to earning your master’s degree can
give you an advantage with hospitals that have or are seeking Magnet
status.
Specialize in an area of interest. The MSN is the new standard for
positions of leadership in a variety of health care environments and is
the required degree for higher education and many roles in clinical and
community settings.
your busy schedule. Many of our master’s degree programs are taught
by practicing professionals who work in the field they teach, so you can
benefit from their current knowledge and skills.
At Kaplan University, you can earn a degree on your terms by studying
virtually anytime, anywhere.*
You will also enjoy the following benefits:
User-friendly online programs—fully supported and interactive
Network of support—faculty, staff, and technology support are

Peer interaction—build relationships within your online learning
community
Tuition assistance—all Maricopa County Community College
District (MCCCD) faculty and staff can enjoy a 25 percent tuition
reduction†
Concentrated degree options—specializations available in
select degree programs
Save money. MSN bridge courses are significantly reduced as part of
the AAS-MSN NCEP. A MCCCD alumni discount will also apply to your
MSN program at GCU.

upcoming information sessions. To learn more about the program,
