Re: Important Clarification Re: The Removal of Agents from Branded Agents Classified as
Generics
Agents from the List of Branded Agents Classified as Generics:
Communication regarding changes for Lovenox to be removed from the TennCare list of
branded agents classified as generics effective July 24, 2015 has changed. Lovenox will
continue to be a preferred agent on the TennCare Preferred Drug List (PDL) in the Injectable
Anticoagulants class of medications and will not be removed from the list of branded agents
classified as generics meaning it will continue to count as a generic toward members’ monthly
prescription limits and copays. Additionally, the generic product, enoxaparin will remain nonpreferred on the Preferred Drug List (PDL).
