PAC stands up for credit unions in front of government. PAC deserves your support. • PAC provides financial campaign contributions to federal, state, and local candidates who support credit unions. • PAC supports candidates that will keep credit unions advancing for the future. • PAC works within the political process to promote credit union interests. • PAC pools contributions to maximize credit unions’ political influence. The laws made in Washington, D.C., Sacramento, and Carson City have a direct effect on your credit union everyday. These laws influence the competitive environment that your credit union operates in, the flexibility of the loans that you offer, and even the way a teller performs his or her job. Furthermore, credit unions’ tax-exempt status is under constant attack by powerful bankers. This ultimately affects the livelihoods of all who work for or serve credit unions. Without a strong political presence, the movement would not be able to go on. The League’s Political Action Committee works to elect candidates who support credit union issues. By pooling voluntary contributions from credit union members, leaders, and others interested in the movement’s success, PAC gives credit unions a collective say on the issues affecting our movement. Make sure credit unions’ political voice is heard loud and clear. Contribute to PAC. No matter your political persuasion or interest level, you have a stake in the movement’s political efforts. Your contribution in any amount will help to make a difference. Your PAC contributions are a wise investment in yourself and in the continued success of all credit unions. Help Make A Difference. PAC contributions should be mailed to the political director at: 1201 K Street, Suite 1050 Sacramento, CA 95814 Contributions are not tax deductible for federal or state income tax purposes. Contributions are completely voluntary and will be used for political purposes. You have the right to refuse to contribute without any reprisal.
