Gerard Gruosso, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for A&E
Television Networks, to Receive Distinguished CFO Award from MFM
Award will be Presented at Finance Focus 2011, the 51st Annual
MFM/BCCA Conference, Which Will be held May 15-17 in Atlanta, GA
NORTHFIELD, IL March 24, 2011 – Gerard Gruosso, Executive Vice President, Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) for A&E Television Networks, LLC, will receive the Distinguished
CFO Award from the Media Financial Management Association (MFM) at Media Finance
Focus 2011, the 51st annual MFM/BCCA conference.
Themed “Empowering Growth, Inspiring Progress,” Media Finance Focus 2011 will be
held from May 15-17 at The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, GA.
Gruosso, a former member of MFM’s Board of Directors, joined A&E in 1985 as
Assistant Controller and went on to serve as its Controller and Vice President before assuming
his present position in March 2002. He played an instrumental role in the company’s acquisition
of Lifetime Networks and its emergence as a global media company generating over $2 billion in
annual revenues.
Prior to joining A&E, Gruosso served as Manager of Corporate Accounting at Warner
Amex Cable Communications, Inc. He joined Warner Amex in 1980 as a Senior Accountant and
subsequently served as Senior Financial Analyst and Assistant Manager. Prior to that, he was
Senior Accountant at Norton, Lilly & Company. In addition to his involvement in MFM, he is a
member of the Financial Executives Institute.

the delicate balance between meeting near-term financial performance objectives with investing
in the business in order for it to remain competitive. When you consider that the company has
quadrupled its revenue growth during the eight years Gerard has served as its CFO, he has

U.S. Senator Michael B. Enzi (Wyoming), Dennis Lockhart, President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Jason Bazinet, a Senior Analyst covering
entertainment, cable and satellite equities at Citigroup and Cox Enterprises’ Sanford (Sandy)
Schwartz.
Media Finance Focus 2011 is the only event in the media industry that’s fully devoted to
financial decision-makers from media and communications companies nationwide. This year’s
conference will feature more than 125 presenters and provide the latest information on
