Cleveland State University
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology
The study of Mechanical Engineering Technology
is a two-year upper-division program leading to
a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Technology degree (BSMET). A Bachelor of
Science in Engineering Technology graduate is
qualified to work in positions requiring the
application of scientific and engineering
knowledge and methods combined with
technical skills in support of engineering
activities.
Many students decide to major in Mechanical
Engineering Technology because the CSU
program prepares them to be employed in a
diverse range of industries including, industrial
control and automation, aerospace, medical,
computer, telecommunications, and defense
industries. Most importantly, Engineering
Technology prepares graduates to contribute
immediately in these industries.
Cleveland State University’s Bachelor of Science
in Mechanical Engineering Technology program
makes it possible for students to pursue a fouryear (baccalaureate) Electronics Engineering
Technology major through a combination of
coursework delivered via face to face
instruction, interactive video distance learning
and online instruction.
