Narrative
This is a preliminary press release regarding the arrest of Christopher L Mangold, 40 years of
age, of Lake Geneva, WI. A more detailed release will be issued on Monday, March 31, 2014
after 8:00am.
On today’s date at approximately 3:55pm Walworth County Sheriff arrested Mangold
following a pursuit which began in the city of Lake Geneva and terminated on I-43 northbound
at Hwy NN (north). A total of five police agencies were involved in this pursuit. Mangold’s
vehicle and a Walworth County marked squad car were both damaged following a PIT (Pursuit
Intervention Technique) maneuver.
The Wisconsin State Patrol was summoned to the scene to investigate the PIT maneuver.
