OPENEYE CM-205 AND CM-205-L9 INDOOR CAMERA
1. SUMMARY
1.01
1. The CM-205 camera shall be a low-cost, reliable mini-dome camera designed for indoor
installations. The CM-205 camera shall have a 3.3mm to 12mm vari-focal lens, and the CM-205L9 camera shall have a 9mm to 22mm vari-focal lens. The CM-205 cameras shall have a
resolution of 540 Horizontal TV Lines in day mode and 560 Horizontal TV lines in night mode in
the NTSC video format. The camera shall be housed in an indoor ceiling mountable housing; it
shall have a service monitor jack for easy in-ceiling adjustment. The CM-205 camera shall be
compatible with the OpenEye Quick Mount system for easy ceiling installation. The CM-205
camera shall have a tool-less 3-axis positioning gimbal for easy positioning of the camera.
2. SPECIFICATIONS
2.01 SPECIFICATIONS
1. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a 1/3” Sony SuperHAD CCD imaging sensor.
2. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a Sony HQ1 digital signal processor (DSP).
3. The CM-205 Cameras shall have an output signal that meets with the NTSC video signal
standard.
4. The CM-205 Cameras shall operate at a minimum illumination of 0.6 Lux at F1.2 (50 IRE signal)
5. The CM-205 Cameras shall have Day / Night functionality.
6. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a service monitor jack for in ceiling adjustment.
7. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a Signal to Noise ratio of 50 decibels (dB).
8. The CM-205 Cameras shall have vari-focal lenses. The CM-205 camera shall have a lens with a
length of 3.3mm to 12mm, and the CM-205-L9 camera shall have a lens with a length of 9mm to
22mm.
9. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a DC power driven auto-iris.
10. The CM-205 Cameras shall have both internal and line lock signal synchronization. The setting
shall be selectable by DIP switch setting on the camera.
11. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a video output of 1V peak to peak, 75Ω, unbalanced.
12. The CM-205 Cameras shall have Auto White Balance (AWB) with a range of 2700K to 11000K
and an extended AWB (AWB-EX) with a range of 2000K to 18000K. AWB or AWB-EX shall be
selectable by DIP switch on the camera.
13. The CM-205 Cameras shall have backlight compensation selectable by DIP switch on the camera.
14. The CM-205 Cameras shall have Auto Gain Control (AGC) and Extended Auto Gain Control (AGCEX) selectable by DIP switch on the camera.
2.02 MECHANICAL
1. The CM-205 Cameras shall weigh 0.6 lbs, or 0.27 kg.

The camera’s bubble dome shall have a diameter of 3.9” (100mm).
The camera’s bubble dome shall have a height of 2.1” (55mm).
The camera’s housing shall have a diameter of 4.7” (120mm).
The camera’s housing shall have a height of 1.9” (50mm).
2.03 ELECTRICAL
1. The CM-205 Cameras shall operate using either 12vDC power input or 24vAC (60Hz) power
input.
2. The CM-205 Cameras shall have a power consumption of no greater than 4.2 watts.
3. The CM-205 Cameras shall have amperage rated at 0.35 amps when using 12vDC power and
0.176 amps when using 24vAC power.
2.04 ENVIRONMENTAL
1. The CM-205 Cameras shall have an operating temperature range of 14° F to 122° F, or -10° C to
50° C.
2. The CM-205 Cameras shall comply with part 15 of the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) emissions rules.
3. SUPPORT
3.01 SUPPORT
1. The CM-205 Cameras shall come with an extensive support structure, including a 1-888 number
for technical service, pre and post sales assistance, direct points of contact, and access to online
sales and technical support.
2. Technical Support shall be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week to all integrators and
dealers.
3.02 WARRANTY
1. The CM-205 cameras shall come with a 3 year warranty with the first year including advance
replacement service.
