This Indenture made this the 13th day of December 1862 between James R Love of the
County of Haywood and State of North Carolina of the one part and Joshua Inman of the
county aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of forty dollars
in hand paid at and before the signing and sealing of these present to the receipt and
payment is hereby acknowledge and myself fully satisfied doth by these presents give
grant bargain Sell alien infer off and convey unto him the said Joshua Inman all that piece
or parcel of land situated lying in Haywood County on the West Fork of Pigeon River on
Floras branch adjoining A.A. Crawfords land Beginning at a Hickory the South East
Corner of A.A. Crawfords land and then running South 80 East 48 poles to a Hickory
near a branch thence North 14 East Crossing Floras branch 90 poles to a steak thence
North 80 West 48 poles to a white oak said Crawfords corner thence South 14 West with
said Crawfords line 90 poles to the beginning containing twenty seven acres more or less
to have and to hold to him the said Joshua Inman him his heirs assigns forever and further
the said James R Love doth by the power and authority vested in me by the Court of
Equity for Buncombe County doth by these presents promis agree to and with the said
Joshua Inman to warrant and ever defined the rights title in the land free and clear from
the claim of himself his heirs and assigns and all other persons lawfully claiming the
same mines and minerals not sold with the mining privilidges reserved in witnesseth my
hand and seal the day and date above written
