Entering into God’s Best
Text: Joshua 1:1-5
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb.
Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as
my prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5
"I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have
heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am
concerned about their suffering. Exodus 3:7
So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the
Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good
and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey
Exodus 3:8
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then,
and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of
slavery. Galatians 5:1
How to enter in to God’s best
1. Believe the _________________________
"Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these
people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am
about to give to them--to the Israelites. Joshua 1:2
I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I
promised Moses. Joshua 1:3
No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your
life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never
leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5
The lazy man says, "There is a lion outside!" or, "I will be
murdered in the streets!" Proverbs 22:13
2. Deal __________________________
At that time the LORD said to Joshua, "Make flint knives for
yourself, and circumcise the sons of Israel again the second
time." Joshua 5:2
In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not
performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh
was put off when you were circumcised by Christ,
Colossians 2:11
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a
cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin
which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance
the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1

So the LORD gave to Israel all the land He had sworn to give
their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled
there. Joshua 21:43
And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had
solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies
could stand against them, for the LORD helped them conquer
all their enemies. Joshua 21:44
Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given
to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything He had
spoken came true. Joshua 21:45
