QUOTES
1) Quotes should be woven into your own sentences
Ex: Crook’s inability to “control his delight” in having Lennie in his room proves….(48).
When Lennie repeats the idea that they will “ ‘live off the fatta the land,’” the reader can clearly see that….(48).
2) Quotes should not be any longer than 2 lines long.
OTHER POINTS:
Transitional phrases should connect body paragraphs and transitional words should be used within body paragraphs.
Your topic sentences should not be the exact same words as used in your thesis.
