Limited is the UK centre based in Surrey (South of London). The focus of
operations within Saipem UK Limited is in platform installation/
decommissioning, pipelaying, pipeline design and subsea technology. The
operations are carried out by our own semi-submersible/ mono-hull heavy lift
and pipelaying construction vessels, cargo and launch barges.
As one of the largest offshore constructors in the world, Saipem UK has
acquired a strong, competent and talented work force to serve the offshore
industry. The engineering department is served by over 200 engineers
performing design, analytical support, project management and construction
operations. The company has held a number of world records in platform
installation and pipelaying operations.
The company is fully committed to the future technology challenges and
understands that the fundamental requirement of the oil and gas service
contractor is to maintain a talented, trained and motivated workforce. Saipem
UK Limited has established a 2 year graduate training scheme with a view to
obtaining charter engineer status. This scheme, which has been carefully
planned to cover the full engineering knowledge spectrum, is accredited by
the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST).
