Comments: Two graves have reportedly been removed from the Bushy Park burial ground. The
first was Capt. Norton moved to South Carolina and the second Col Ledbeter moved to Sudley
Church. There has always been some belief that there were more than two burials on this ridge
top. Col. Ledbetter’s grave was about 250 – 300 yards east of Bushy Park. In 2001 an animal
watering trough was on top of the burial ground.
