Carol Joy Shannon
CAROL JOY SHANNON is a prominent Raleigh artist. Her work hangs in venues ranging from vacation homes to banks, and
donated works have raised money for everything from Gulf fishermen to Aids Alliance of the Carolinas. Carol Joy has been a
member of Visual Art Exchange since 2005, and is a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary, the Durham Art Guild, and a
founding member of the Chromazones, a group of a dozen Triangle abstract artists who create large collaborative pieces for
fundraising and exhibit in group shows throughout the state. In addition, Carol is the featured artist for the 2013 For the Love
of Art Auction & Gala.
LESLIE SILVERSTEIN is a community philanthropist and volunteer. Formerly, she was a Commercial Interior Designer who was
the Director of Interior Design and Partner for Small Kane Architects who focused on the design of law firms, healthcare and
educational Facilities. Her volunteer activities include the Junior League of Raleigh (sustainer); Raleigh Fine Arts Society; Arts
Committee and various other committees- Temple Beth Or; Board Member-UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center;
Past President - Poe Center for Health Education. Leslie is a member of the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors.
Currently, she owns private consulting firm- LLS Design, LTD.
