TERMS OF STUD DOG AGREEMENT
Under the terms of this agreement it is understood and agreed
that a stud service will be provided by:

The fee for this service will be $750.00.
A fee of $250, of the stud fee, shall be non-refundable (Non-Refundable Fee “NRF”) and shall
be due before the bitch arrives for breeding or prior to semen collection and shipping. This will
be payable to Sherri Farmer or Donna Todd, 3616 Parker Road, Wylie TX 75098. The AKC
Application for Litter Registration will not be signed until the balance of the stud fee is paid in
full, $500. If less than two (2) puppies are named on the AKC Application for Litter
Registration, the fee for the stud service will be $250 per puppy, in addition to the NRF:

If no puppies result from this mating, no payment will be due the Stud Owners, other than the
$250 NRF described above and the bitch’s expenses described below, and there will be no
further obligation on the part of either the bitch’s or stud’s owners. If owner would like a repeat
breeding, the balance of the stud fee, $500, must be paid at the time of the repeat breeding.
All expenses related to collection, including handling and shipping of the fresh-chilled semen, is
the sole responsibility of the owner of the above-mentioned bitch. (See attached Exhibit A)
Before the time of semen collection you must have your credit card number on file with Dr.
Kirk Esmond of the Josey Ranch Pet Hospital (who will be performing the service). You will

need to order two ICG Fresh Chilled Semen kits through Dr. Esmond’s office (972-446-0667)
prior to your bitch coming into season.
This semen may NOT be used for a replacement bitch without the STUD dog OWNERS’
consent in writing.
Please contact us at least three (3) to four (4) weeks prior to your bitch coming into season for
booking purposes, if possible. The more advance notice we have, the more notice we can give
the clinic to have all necessary supplies on hand. For a natural breeding, a negative brucellosis
report, current within 30 days, must accompany the bitch at the time of breeding. No service will
be performed without the report. It is strongly recommended that the bitch also have a vaginal
culture performed prior to breeding, especially if she has a history of reproductive difficulties. If
culture results are not supplied, the stud owner reserves the right to accomplish the breeding via
AI procedures at the bitch owner’s expense.
NOTE: The STUD dog OWNERS reserve the right to refuse any breeding that does not
meet their approval for any reason. In this instance, no stud fee or NRF will be due, however,
all other expenses (including shipping/medical/board/etc.) remain the responsibility of the Bitch
Owner.

A safe, comfortable and pleasant environment will be provided for the bitch while she is at our
home. Every effort will be made to provide for her safe care and confinement; however, the stud
dog owner (or the dog’s agent) shall not be held legally or financially responsible in any way for
her injury or loss, or for damage or injury caused by the bitch while in our care.
Should the bitch become ill, the bitch owner authorizes any and all emergency care necessary for
her well-being. Every attempt will be made to contact the bitch owner prior to undertaking
treatment, with the understanding that, should an emergency arise, this may not be possible. In
this case, the bitch owner will be contacted as soon as possible after treatments.
Additional Expenses:
(a)
Medical expenses, including those pertaining to artificial insemination and/or the
collection and shipment of semen shall be the sole responsibility of the bitch’s
owner. (See attached Exhibit A)

(b)
Airport transportation fees to DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth Airport) for pick-up and
delivery of said bitch … no fee other than the $250 NRF. Air fare, crate, and any
other required materials are the sole responsibility of the bitch’s owners.
(c)
Counter-to-counter shipped semen: A $35/per shipment fee will be charged to
cover travel expenses to and from airport. Payment will be made directly to Sherri
Farmer.
(d)
Fed-Ex shipped semen: These charges will be billed to your credit card by Josey
Ranch Pet Hospital.
Puppies sired by this STUD dog are not to be sold overseas. No puppies produced from this
breeding are to be sold, either directly or indirectly, through a pet shop, wholesaler of
purebred dogs, or individual acting as an agent for a third party; and that the bitch will
not be sold while she is in whelp. The owner(s) of the bitch agrees that all puppies sold as
pets to non-competition homes will be sold with written spay/neuter and with AKC limited
registration.
We also ask that you provide the STUD dog OWNERS with the names and addresses of all
puppy buyers, and the AKC registered names of all puppies, before the litter is six (6) months
old. The name, address, and phone number of the stud dog owner shall be provided to all puppy
owners.
AFTER READING THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDTIONS, WE FIND THEM
MUTUALLY AGREEAGLE AND ACCEPTABLE.
The laws of Texas State will govern this contract.

Estimated Expenses …
Fresh chilled breedings will normally require two (2) ICG kits for the transfer of
semen to your bitch. The ICG Fresh Extender Boxes may be ordered from Josey
Ranch Pet Hospital at 972-446-0667. The cost of each box is $72.50 + 17.00
shipping to Josey Ranch Pet Hospital.
