Conditions of Service
Both parties are in agreement with the following conditions:
1. Payment for stud fee of $_______________ US Funds to be paid with ½ due at the time of mating and the
remaining ½ due when resulting puppies are 2 weeks (14 days) of age. Two (2) live puppies (7 days old)
constitute a litter.
A. Payment with check/money order must be received at least 10 days prior to breeding or cash
is required.
B. If paying remaining balance owed by check/money order, payment must clear bank before
AKC papers will be signed by stud owner.
2. Bitch owner must provide the following:
A. Copy of a negative brucellosis test within 14 days if not using chilled or frozen semen.
B. Copy of eye clearance by a board certified canine ophthalmologist or a CERF certificate current
within 1 (one) year.
C. Copy of OFA certificate or, if prior to 24 months of age and OFA Preliminary report. No bitch under
18 months of age will be accepted for breeding.
D. Copy of DM (DEGENERATIVE MYELOPATHY) certificate also required.
E. Pedigree, copy of AKC registration papers and a color photo of the bitch for our files.
3. Bitch owner agrees to keep said bitch confined for the duration of her heat cycle so as not to be bred with
any other dog. If this does happen bitch owner will have all resulting puppies DNA tested to verify the sire
prior to litter papers being signed.
4. No puppies resulting from this breeding will be sold to a retail outlet, a commercial affiliation or a broker.
5. If no pregnancy occurs, a free return service will be given to the same bitch within a two year time period. If
the rebreeding is not done in that time period the stud fee will be forfeited and no service will be due the bitch
owner. Bitch owner/ lessee are responsible for any shipping and veterinarian fees on a rebreeding. Two living
puppies at 7 days of age constitute a litter.
6. Should the Bitch Owner wish to have a natural breeding done and ship the Bitch to Stud Dog owner,
boarding fees will apply. Board is $_______ per day. All food, supplements, medicines must be provided by
the bitches owner for the duration. Bitch is required to provide stud dog owners a copy of recent vaccines in
the event that a veterinarian visit is required during the stay.
7. In case of shipping chilled semen, the bitch owner is responsible for all expenses relating to the collection
and shipping of the semen as well as the expenses for the bitch being inseminated. If no puppies result from
this breeding, there will be no reimbursement of any fees but a return service will be allowed under the same
terms as above. By signing this contract all parties agree to and are bound by the conditions set herein.
8. Owner of bitch agrees that no puppy from this breeding will be sold as a pet without the requirement of a
spay/neuter contract and/or Limited Registration with the AKC. Owner of the bitch agrees to notify stud dog
owner of any genetic defects that appear in any puppy from this breeding. Owner of bitch agrees to provide
stud owner with a copy of his AKC records for the resulting litter. Bitch owner has to his/her best knowledge,
informed stud owner of any genetic issues this bitch possesses or has produced in prior litters.
9. Any breach of this contract can and will result in punitive damages in the amount of $5,000.00. Buyer(s) has
read and understands this entire agreement will abide by all of its parts and portions. The above language
constitutes the entire agreement made and is considered binding on and by all parties. If dispute arises,
jurisdiction shall be: Kay County, Oklahoma.
10. Other Terms and Conditions: If stud dog owners have agreed to take a puppy, stud fee will not be owed,
but all fees related to the breeding (vet bills, collection and shipment of chilled or frozen semen, etc) still apply.
Any other changes to contract terms can be changed in writing with agreement from both parties.
