The project centers around the development of Efficient Finite Element
Algorithms (Reduced Order Models) for Electromagnetic Computations
using C++ and MATLAB. The present work involves the development of
efficient model for defect shape reconstruction based on Magnetic Flux
Leakage Method (MFL) in oil and gas pipelines using reduced FEM model,
genetic algorithm. Reduced models using Proper Orthogonal
Decomposition (POD) method is investigated.
