01. The Superintending Engineer (E), Shivasamudram invites item rate tenders from
eligible tenderers registered in KPCL for the following work at Shimshapura as
detailed in the table given below.

03. PRE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - COVER-I (Technical bid)
The Bidder should upload scanned copies of the following documents.
i)
Class of Registration of Contractor certificate issued by KPCL.
ii)
Work order with corresponding work completion certificate in a single
financial year:
Bidder must have executed one similar work of order value not less than
0.85
lakhs in a financial years 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 & 2013-14 in
State/Central Govt./ public sector or in any utility in India. In this regard
bidder shall furnish satisfactory work completion certificate along with
corresponding work order issued by competent authority not less than the rank
of Executive Engineer or equivalent.
iii) Annual Turnover:
a. The bidder must have annual average turnover of not less than
3.00
lakhs in any of the preceding 2 financial years in the years 2009-10,2010-11,
2011-12, 2012-13 & 2013-14. The bidder has to submit P&L account certified
by audit / charted accountant.

b. Income Tax returns for the corresponding year of turnover furnished.
iv) The bidder shall furnish following certificates:

Income tax PAN no. in the name of the bidding firm.
Independent PF registration certificate issued by the regional provident fund
commissioner.
c. Service Tax registration certificates.
d. Declaration indicating the applicability of Service Tax under scheme/as per
Service Tax Act format enclosed in the bid.
04. FINANCIAL BID - COVER-II - Tender Schedule- B (Price Bid).
a) Price Schedule only (Online)

05. Tender documents may be downloaded from Government of Karnataka

After login to Contractors, Please scroll down to the right side bottom to see List of
tenders, please click there to find the details of NIT and download copy of the
tender. The tender can be downloaded from the portal as per prescribed date and
time published in the portal. Only interested Contractors who wish to participate
should remit on line transaction fee for tender after registering in the portal. The
transaction fee is non-refundable.
06. Tenders must be accompanied by Earnest Money Deposit which should be paid
online through e-Procurement portal using any of the following payment modes.
a) Credit Card,
b) Direct Debit,
c) National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT),
d) Over the Counter (OTC) (only through designated branches of Axis Bank)
07. Tenders must be electronically submitted (online through internet) within the date
and time published in e-procurement portal.
08. Other details can be seen in the tender documents.
09. Any reputed individual/Company registration as Registration from KPCL
registration is eligible to apply.
10. No Joint Venture /Consortium are permissible.
11. None of the contracts of the tenderer should have been terminated/ foreclosed
on account of his default in KPCL or elsewhere during last five years.
12. The tender is of two cover system. Cover-1 consist of technical i.e. PQR and
Cover-2 consists of financial.
13. Furnish term of bid as per annexure-A.
14. For those tenderers whose Technical bids satisfy the eligibility criteria and who has
furnished all the necessary documents, only their financial Bids will be opened.
15. The original documents should be produced for verification at any stage of tender

process as and when sought for, failing which, the bids are liable for
disqualification.
16. The tender shall be valid for 180 days from the date of submission of tenders.
17. The tender document is part and parcel of the agreement.
18. Conditional tenders will not be accepted.
19. KPCL reserves the right to verify any information/documents furnished by the
tenderer should the circumstances so warrant. In case the information or the
documents furnished are found to be incorrect/false or invalid then the EMD
furnished by such tenderer shall be forfeited. The registration of such tenderer
shall also be cancelled.
20. Corporation reserves the right to accept any or reject any or all bids. However,
reason for rejection will be recorded as per KTPP Act.
21. The successful bidders shall give an undertaking that they would abide by the
provisions of the Employee’s Provident Fund Act and as per statutory Acts.
22. The contractor shall obtain insurance coverage for all the workers working in
this area.
23. The contractor shall quote his rates inclusive of Service Tax and inclusive of all
other applicable taxes, levies, duties and Cess, Building worker welfare Cess (if
applicable) etc., as per the latest G.O.K. and Government of India notification
prevailing as on the date of NIT. Service tax will be borne by you.
24. The contractor shall quote his rates inclusive of PF as per the applicable rates
as issued by the PF Department from time to time and if any variations occur,
it shall be paid/refunded by/ to the Corporation against the documentary
evidence.
25. KPCL shall recover the income tax, work contract tax, VAT etc., at the
prevailing applicable rates.
26. Contractor should have independents PF Code. The Contractor shall remit PF
of labours to contractors permanent PF code Number only.
27. In case the dates notified above be declared as holiday, the immediate next
working day shall be reckoned.
28. If the contractor makes any alterations in the conditions of the contract or puts
any condition of his own, such tenders are liable for rejection.
29. Any other information required may be obtained from the office of the
undersigned during office hours.
30. Further details of the work can be obtained in the office of the Superintending
Engineer (E), KPCL, Shivasamudram, during office hours.

works and KPCL registered contractors (class III & above) having adequate
financial resource past experience in respect of work. Tender documents may

Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 4260/- and tender processing fee should
