the Library’s rare and law collections.
 Regularly lead workshops in book repair throughout the state.
 Original and copy cataloging of print, electronic and audiovisual monographs and serials with primary
responsibility for Michigan government documents. Create and update local authority records. Conduct
database maintenance for quality control.
 Project manager for the final year of cataloging phase and cataloger during microfilming phase of the
Michigan Newspaper Project. Responsibilities included: original cataloging, developing and maintaining
database in Microsoft Access, fielding reference questions, and grant administration.
 Managed the library’s binding program (2002-2006) determining appropriate treatments for items,
processing all outgoing and returning items, and working with the vendor.

 Regularly conduct day-long book repair workshops for library staff.
 Conduct public talk on “Caring for your family treasures” at East Lansing Public Library, Library of
Michigan, Tecumseh District Library.
 Assisted in organizing the Michigan Library Consortium program “Newspaper Collections in Libraries
and Archives” and presented “Managing Michigan Newspapers: Cataloging, Preserving, and Beyond”
