Cow Chip Bingo
September 8, 2013 1:00pm
The Savanna Band & Colorguard will be holding our Annual Cow Chip Bingo fundraiser that
is very different and very fun. It involves no cookie dough, wrapping paper, or soap, but
is easy to do and can win you lots of money.
On Sunday, September 8, three cows will be brought to the Savanna High School football
practice field. The cows are walked in a marked area by three student volunteers. When
the cows plop, the "chip" locations are measured and the ticket which corresponds to the
area where it plops is the winning ticket.
The first plop earns the ticket holder $250 (and the student who sold it $50); the second
plop earns the ticket holder $500 (and the student who sold it $75); and the third plop
earns the ticket holder $750 (and the student who sold it $100).
This fundraiser earns the winning ticket holder some money, and the Band and Colorguard
needed funds. It is an interesting and fun Sunday afternoon - Come join us!
Our goal is to sell 5250 tickets. Sell them to family, friends, business associates, etc.
Some parents buy all their tickets to have a chance to win some Christmas spending money.
For $5 per ticket, you could win money and help support your house. THANK YOU!

Rules and Regulations
1) A 70 x 75 yard area will be marked out on the field at Savanna High School.
2) Each square yard represents a “Land deed parcel” (total of 5,250), which corresponds to
each numbered ticket (0001 to 5250).
3) Each “land deed parcel” (ticket) sells for $5.00.
4) All parcels are numbered at random by computer prior to starting. A chart will display the
parcels during the Cow Chip Bingo game.
5) At 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2013, three cows will be released onto the athletic
field.
6) The first three “plops” are measured and recorded.
7) Once each parcel has been located on the corresponding numbered chart, the winnings are
paid as follows:
The first “plop” wins $250.00
The second “plop” wins $500.00
The third “plop” wins $750.00
8) If the “cow chip” lands on bordering parcels (on the line), the prize money will be divided
equally among the owners of all affected parcels regardless of the volume on each parcel.
9) If the “cow chip” lands on an unsold lot, the measurement will move one lot north and
clockwise to find a winner.
10) Winners need not be present to win.
11) Other rules apply as stated on your ticket.
12) Further FAQs can be found on www.savannabandinfo.com

FAQ Sheet for Parents
Q: Why are we doing this?
A: This is a fairly easy way to raise funds for the group and for students to work down
their fair share commitments.
Q: Do I have to sell all of my tickets?
A: All students will be given 20 tickets and must return all stubs with their money by
Friday, Sept 6. If you do not want to sell, please return your tickets to Mr Belski.
Q: Can I sell extra tickets?
A: Absolutely! Call Kat Farris at the number below to arrange pickup of extra tickets.
Q: What if I lose my tickets?
A: Call Kat at the number below as soon as possible.
Q: Does the winner need to be there that day?
A: Nope – we will call the winner if they are not there. Your student needs to make sure
names and numbers are written legibly on the ticket stub, as well as printing their own
name on the back of the tickets they turn in so they get credit.
Q: How long is this going to take? Do I have to sit and watch the cows all afternoon?
A: Plop time for the cows could take 15 minutes to three hours or more – it all depends on
when they have been fed and pooped last. Come out and join us, but be sure to bring a
chair and sunscreen!
Q: What if we sell one of the winning tickets?
A: Your student will win either $50, $75, or $100 depending on the “plop”.
Q: What if the cow plops on an empty square?
A: We will move the measurement one square north and then clockwise until we mark a
winner. If the plop lands on two squares, the money will be split between the two tickets
no matter what the volume is on each parcel.

FAQ Sheet for Students
Q: Why are we doing this?
A: Cause this is way easier than car washes, cookie dough and Entertainment Books. Make
it work now, and in following years we don’t have to do as many of all those other
fundraisers.
Q: Do I have to sell all of my tickets?
A: Yep. Hit up your friends, bug your neighbors, call in favors. Teachers like $$ too - see
how many tix Belski will buy before getting mad. Skip Starbucks one day and buy one for
yourself.
Q: How long is this going to take? Do I have to sit and watch the cows all afternoon?
A: Think band camp with cows… and chairs… no marching, and more water breaks. The
cows will fill in holes you all sprained your ankles on, but you don’t have to watch.
Q: Can I sell extra tickets?
A: Duh, of course. The more the merrier.
Q: What if I lose my tickets?
A: What do you think? Tell Belski ASAP.
Q: Does the winner need to be there that day?
A: Nope – we know how to use a cell phone.
Q: What if we sell one of the winning tickets?
A: Cold hard cash in your hand
Make sure we can READ the writing on your ticket stubs, and that your name and phone is
on the back of each one you sell. If you don’t, we can’t give you the money.
Q: What if the cow plops on an empty square?
A: We’ll figure it out.
