The Isis Project Activities SUMMER 2013
All activities are at The Isis Project premises and continue for 7 weeks unless
otherwise stated!
MONDAYS
Morning
The Out-There Project **NEW** (starts on Monday 10th June 10 -12pm)
Would you like to develop your confidence in your creativity and focus on being in the moment? We will
be using colour, line and print to respond to outdoor space and to explore mindfulness in a friendly
atmosphere. Facilitated by Jane at Project 6, Keighley for 6 weeks.
Afternoon
Recovery Drop In 1.00 – 3.00pm– Call in and have a chat and a cuppa, and chill out in a
friendly atmosphere. Reduced Coffee/Tea charges for this session. 50p for the full afternoon as many
cuppas as you like!!! Commencing 3rd June. Facilitated by Emma, Emily and Fabia

Morning
Confidence Building –EFT 10.00 – 12.00pm
A relaxed session designed to help clear unwanted emotions and feelings. Learn the technique of
“tapping”to enhance confidence and positive thinking. Commencing 4th June. Facilitated by Jan
Health Trainer – Book an appointment to see a trained Health Trainer at the Isis. The Health
Trainer can support you to feel happier, eat healthier, reduce stress, get fit, manage your weight or even
stop smoking. This is a one to one confidential service, where an initial appointment time will be
allocated upon booking. Tracy our Health Trainer is at Isis every Tuesday morning between 9.15am
and 12.00pm. Speak to Isis Staff about an appointment/referral.

WEDNESDAYS
Morning – Make and Sell – 10am – 12pm
Crafts to Make, Sell and Give Away – An informal and relaxed weekly session to enjoy making
handmade items for yourself or to give as gifts to friends and family. We’ll also talk about how to sell
your handmade crafts on various Internet web sites or at local art and craft fairs. Come and try crafts such
as card making, decorating candles, rubber-stamping, scrap booking etc. Commencing 5th June.

Morning/Afternoon
Pamper Yourself – 10am – 2.30pm -Why not book an appointment to have your
hands/nails/feet pampered by Gillian. Gillian is an ex-service user of the Isis and is a qualified nail
technician now. There is a charge for this service but the prices are kept as low as possible and are carried
out in the relaxing environment of the Isis for those not wanting to attend salons. Commencing 5th June

THURSDAYS
Morning- Isis Extra 11am-1.00pm fortnightly
This relaxed group is designed for women who are looking to attend an extra Isis Group. Come along for
a chat, cuppa and enjoy some time out. This group is held in partnership with a local store and is held in
one of their community rooms. Facilitated by Emily-Speak to Emily for more details

Dress Making – 1pm – 3pm
A fantastic course on learning to make you own clothes and how to use our electric sewing machines.
There will be a small charge of £1 each week to cover costs. Commencing 6th June. Facilitated by
Jackie and Fabia
Job Centre Plus-Outreach in the Community – Speak to Annie about a range of things
e.g. concerns about the changes to Incapacity/Housing benefits, volunteering, financial support while in
training, training, childcare whilst working or training, how much better off you’ll be in work, want a job
to fit round other responsibilities. Book an appointment to speak to Annie from Job Centre Plus at
Isis confidentially. She will be around once a month. Ask Sheila, Sue or the Students for
information or an appointment.
FREE CHILDCARE – Free childcare is linked to all these activities unless stated otherwise. The
Isis Project has an Ofsted registered, well equipped crèche which is managed by our qualified Early
Years Practitioners, who provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for all under 5’s.
We now use the Sunshine Evaluation tool, where all service users will be asked to take part in this
evaluation at their own convenience, which will help identify certain areas we can assist with.
