A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT CONFIRMING MAX BAUER AS THE
STUDENT BODY TREASURER

Whereas, the Constitution of the Student Body allows the President of the Student Body to have the
assistance of an Executive Cabinet;
Whereas, the Student Government Association Conference Committee nominated and voted on Max
Bauer to serve as the next Student Body Treasurer;
Whereas, Steven Serio, President of the Student Body, as accepted the nomination from the
Conference Committee, and thusly nominates Max Bauer to be his pick for Student Body Treasurer;
Whereas, In addition to the Powers and Responsibilities prescribed to the Student Body Treasurer in
the Constitution of the Student Body, the Student Body Treasurer shall prepare, in conjunction with
the Branches of the Student Government Association, annual budgets to be submitted to the Student
Activity Fees Commission for consideration; serve as the representative of the Student Government
Association to the Student Activity Fees Commission; provide a monthly report, detailing the status
of funds budgeted to each Branch, to the Conference Committee and each Branch of the Student
Government Association; ensure all financial policies of the Student Government Association, or the
expenditure of any funds budgeted to the Student Government Association or the various student
organizations, complies with the budget procedures set forth by the Student Activity Fees
Commission; direct any audits performed by the Student Activity Fees Commission of any chartered
clubs, organizations or executive committees; and, attend, either in person or through one of his or her
appointed assistants, all meetings of the Organizational Ways and Means Committee of the Senate;
Whereas, Max Bauer has previously served as a Senator from the Belk College of Business, during
which he served as the Vice Chairman of the Organizational Ways & Means Committee, assisted
former Student Body Treasurer Chase Kapitsky in performing his duties, and currently serves as the
Eminent Archon (President) of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity;

Therefore, be it resolved by the Student Senate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte:
SECTION I:
The Senate hereby confirms Max Bauer as the Student Body Treasurer for the 2014-2015
academic school year, and shall enter his office thereof upon being administered the oath
of office.
