The Council recognizes the difficulties that prolonged periods of severe weather
cause, particularly to older or less mobile residents. During the severe weather
in January, the Council mobilised some 100 staff on a weekend of 9/10 th January
to clear snow and ice from shopping centres, school premises, pedestrian
crossings, GP surgeries and residential care homes across the Borough.
Unfortunately Montague Court is a private property and therefore the
responsibility for snow clearance rests with the landlord. The most appropriate
