Position:
Temporary 0.5 FTE Community Counsellor – Early Years – ending
March 31, 2012
Location:
Serving Leeds & Grenville (Brockville office)
Reporting To:
Peter Coughlin, Program Director
Job Summary:
The Community Counsellor assesses, plans and provides
counselling and treatment for children and their families. Using a
range of treatment modalities, the Counsellor provides the Centre’s
core services for children, under the age of six dealing with mental
health difficulties, and their families.
Qualifications:






Bachelor’s degree in a social sciences field;
At least three years of full-time paid experience in child/youth, group and family
counseling including child abuse, high-risk families, and crisis intervention;
Experience in liaison work with schools and community agencies;
Demonstrated assessment skills;
Must have full use of a car and able to transport clients; and
Computer literate.
Salary:
$50,833 - $59,916 per annum
