Purpose: The primary purpose of this event and all of the Son’s Light Ministry’s
programs is to help students come to know God and, through that revelation, make
Him known. A secondary purpose is to strengthen the faith walk of students that
have already accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
Statement of Faith: The goal of Son’s Light Ministries is to present the saving
message of Jesus Christ to all who are willing to listen. It is our prayer that God will
use our ministry to bring people form all walks of life into His kingdom by their
belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived on earth, died on a
cross, was resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and by inviting Him into your heart
through prayer, He will be your personal Lord and Savior and will grant you
abundant and everlasting life. All participants and their music ministries should
reflect basic faith principles consistent with those of Son’s Light Ministries.

VI. Stage Plot/ Black Line:
A house PA will be provided. However, you will need to bring your own
instruments and amps. A drum kit will also be in place. Sound check time will be festival
style. Be prepared and ready to go. Please send a stage plot with your applications, (see
attachment). We will schedule a morning sound check time prior to start, and will send
you a schedule of the day’s events. We will post this on our website as soon as we know
something definite.
VII. Entry and Selection Process:
A) Please enclose a $25 entry fee to apply for participation in the Talent Search. Please
make checks payable to Selah Worship Ministries. (If finances are a hardship, we will still
accept your application. Please indicate on your application if this is the case!)
B) Only 4 solo, duet, or trio acts and 4 full bands will be invited to the talent search.
C) Demo CD’s or tapes must be received with your application by Tuesday, August 11,
2009 to be considered. Demos will not be returned.
D) A Talent Committee Panel will observe all performances. Upon completion of the
program the committee will decide which of the music ministries will be extended the
invitation to be the opening acts at High Country Praise Festival 2010. The
announcement will be made at Sunday, September 6, 2009.
