What do you notice about the range of the voices (the space between the
highest and lowest note)
Structure
Using the score and recording write a brief commentary on the structure. You
may wish to discuss use of contrast, the role of the voices and the clarity of
sections
Once you have considered the structure map out the form using letters and bar
numbers, such as A bars 1 - 12

What do you notice about Bruckner’s use of melody? Which voice clearly carries
the greater melodic weight? Does melody occur in any of the other voices? In
what direction do most lines go: up or down?
