CONSTITUTION OF THE JUNIOR WOMEN’S CLUB OF ST. JUDE’S PARISH
NEW LENOX, ILLINOIS
ARTICLE I
NAME: This group shall be known as the Junior Women’s Club.
ARTICLE II
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the St. Jude Jr. Women’s Club is to explore
our roles as Catholic Christian women through spiritual, intellectual and social activities;
supporting each other as we extend the love of God to home, work place and community.
OBJECTIVES:
Section I: To provide spiritual, intellectual and social activities for its members.
Section II: To provide support for St. Jude’s Parish in whatever capacity they shall
choose or be asked to perform.
Section III: To provide spiritual and physical support for its members.
ARTICLE III
MEMBERS AND VOTING:
Section I: Officers
a. President
b. Vice President
c. Secretary
d. Treasurer
e. Program Directors
Section II: Membership
The Jr. Women’s Club (JWC) shall consist of any women of the St. Jude
Parish with or without children.
Section III: Dues:
Dues shall be $15.00 annually due by October. Members joining after
January 1st shall pay $10.00 dues.
Section IV: Voting:
a. Full Meeting: Dues paying members shall be eligible to vote.
b. Officers’ Committee Meeting: A quorum of five officers must exist in
order to hold and officers meeting. Officers must be notified directly of
the meeting time and date. Notification must be done in a timely fashion.

Section V: Elections:
a. Nominations and elections shall be held at the May meeting.
b. All officers shall serve a one-year term.
c. A one-year term shall run from June to June.
d. The incoming officers shall, in conjunction with the outgoing officers,
review the list of job descriptions as stated in the constitution.
ARTICLE IV
MEETING TIME:
Section I: Meetings shall be held on the first Tuesday of the month from September
through June, unless it is changed by the general consensus of the officers.
Section II: The meetings shall be held from 9:15 am to 11:00 am.
ARTICLE V
JOB DESCRIPTIONS OF OFFICERS:
Section I: President
a. To oversee the fulfillment of the objectives of the constitution.
b. To preside over meetings.
c. To prepare the monthly agenda.
d. To direct the other officers and various committee members in the
performance of their duties.
e. To attend Parish Council meetings as necessary or obtain a substitute.
f. To submit monthly dates meeting dates for the parish calendar.
g. To welcome new and old members.
h. Attend the officers’ committee meetings.
Section II: Vice President
a. To be present and to officiate in the absence of the President.
b. To prepare monthly refreshment setup.
c. To circulate and fill sign up sheets.
d. To send a monthly reminder e-mail to members who are responsible for
refreshments and door prize.
e. To welcome new and old members.
f. Attend the officers’ committee meetings.

Section III: Secretary
a. To record the minutes of monthly and officers’ meetings.
b. To e-mail the monthly meeting minutes to all members.
c. To prepare and update the annual membership list.
d. To submit appropriate information to the church bulletin, including
monthly meeting information.
e. To submit appropriate information to the church website for ministry
reports.
f. To welcome new and old members.
g. Attend the officers’ committee meetings.
Section IV: Treasurer:
a. To collect all dues and monies.
b. To disburse monies.
c. To keep an accurate account and record of all financial transactions.
d. To provide the transition of authority over funds to the incoming
treasurer.
e. To welcome new and old members.
f. Attend the officers’ committee meetings.
Section V: Program Directors:
a. To develop monthly programs.
b. To schedule and coordinate personnel and materials for meetings.
c. To prepare the annual calendar and distribute copies to members at the
September meeting.
d. To post annual calendar on parish website using parish website
coordinator.
e. To document club functions using photography or other methods.
f. To welcome new and old members.
g. Attend the officers’ committee meetings.
ARTICLE VI
REVISION OF THE CONSTITUTION:
Section I: This constitution shall be reviewed annually by the officers and so noted.
Section II: The annual revisions, if any shall be reviewed with the general membership at
the September meeting.
Section III: The constitution shall be presented to new members at the time of
membership.
