TEXTBOOK RENTAL PROGRAM
The Madison College bookstore is recruiting faculty who are interested in
participating in the textbook rental program for fall 2010.
Below are several criteria to determine if your courses would be good candidates for
textbook rental.








A single course would require use of the same text regardless of the instructor.
The course is offered for four consecutive semesters (fall, spring).
The combined enrollment of all course sections must be 50-75 students
minimum, per semester.
The selected text would be used for a minimum of four or more consecutive
semesters.
The text tends to be a higher cost book.
The instructor of the course does not require removal of pages from the text.
The book should be considered reusable if student minimally writes/highlights in
it.
The book used must be considered a new or newer edition.
Below are several criteria to determine if your courses would NOT be good
candidates for textbook rental.

The book would not be a text that students would normally want to keep for
reference.
 The books that are packaged with ancillary materials that are changed each
semester and workbooks/study guides or books that are printed in loose leaf
format are not good candidates for program.
 Texts with annual edition changes will not be considered.
If you would like to participate, and your course and book meets the above criteria,
please complete the bottom portion of this flyer and submit it with your textbook
adoption to the bookstore.
