In 2000, Dartmouth generated nearly 3000 tons of solid waste.
About 1/3 was diverted from the landfill: 636 tons were recycled
and 368 tons were composted – It pays to COMPOST!
About 2/3 of our trash is compostable. COMPOST all that cannot
be recycled.
