First Congregational Church of Reading
Property Committee Stained Glass Window Condition Assessment
April 13, 2009
With the advent of the 100th anniversary, 2010, of the existing building that is the First Congregational Church of Reading located at 25
Woburn Street, Reading, MA, the Property Committee determined that it was time to do a thorough assessment of the condition of all the
stained glass windows that are in the building. The committee will use the survey to proceed with a repair schedule. There are 120 separate
windows in the building. There are ten windows that are indicated as in need of repair ASAP according to the survey. Photos of some of the
windows in the most need of repair are in “Appendix B” which is available from the Property Committee upon request.
The following pages show a survey of all the windows in the church building. See plan notes below:
 Each window is numbered and keyed to the plan that is Appendix A which is attached. Window numbers are in circles on the plan
 * Indicates window is in desperate need of repair. There are holes or cracks in the glass and/or the glass is coming out of the frame
 Width and height dimensions are shown in that order in the “size” column
 “a,b,c” windows indicate more than one window in a frame looking at it from the inside from left to right
