Leon celebrated the release of Coming Home with a lively performance on The Tonight Show
Starring Jimmy Fallon. Equipped with his 7-piece backing band, and standing before a set
decorated in vintage Austrian drapes, Leon delivered a rousing performance of Coming Home
which can be seen online here: http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/segments/150076 .
The success of Coming Home is spurred on by Leon’s breakout single of the same name.
"Coming Home” is already approaching Top 20 on the Triple A Radio chart and is now crossing
over to Alternative and Adult Top 40 Radio. Bridges was featured on the venerable NPR’s All
Things Considered and the album was streamed for a full week and highlighted as part of
NPR’s First Listen series. Additionally, the song charted on Spotify’s Global, US and UK Viral
Charts for several consecutive weeks. “Coming Home” can also be heard in a current Apple
iPhone commercial, airing regularly in the US on network television: http://smarturl.it/LeonApple.
ESPN also featured "Coming Home" throughout their 2015 NBA Finals coverage.
Known for his adept live performances, Leon Bridges will tour this fall in support of his eagerly
anticipated debut album Coming Home. Tickets for the tour, his first ever headline tour, sold like
wildfire, with tour dates in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City,
Toronto and Washington D.C. selling out within minutes. Due to overwhelming demand,
additional dates have been added, including second shows in New York City and Los Angeles
(see below grid for added dates). Fans can visit http://www.leonbridges.com/tour for up to date
information on the tour.
Leon’s rise can only be described as meteoric. Previously, Leon worked as a dishwasher and
waited tables while performing at open mic nights around his hometown of Dallas/Forth Worth.
After a chance meeting with Austin Jenkins and Joshua Block of noted band White Denim, who
serve as producers on Coming Home, Leon went into the studio and cut his two breakout
tracks: “Coming Home” and “Better Man”. The tracks debuted in October 2014 to positive
fanfare on the celebrated music site Gorilla-vs-Bear and quickly began to rack up streams.
Within weeks, Leon Bridges was signed to Columbia Records; charting on Spotify; performing
at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, receiving the Grulke Award for excellence at SXSW and
attending The Met Gala as a guest of Vogue Magazine.
Despite all of the accolades and buzz, Leon has one goal for listeners with Coming Home and
forthcoming tour. Said Leon in a recent interview with Esquire Magazine, "I made it in my mind
that I wanted to be as creative as I could…I've just got to give it 100 percent and be honest."
