Investigation on preparation, characterization, and catalytic applications
Independent researcher, advisor: Prof. Dai Hongxing
Mainly work on the controlled fabrication, characterization, and catalytic properties of
specifically morphological and porous single metal and mixed metal oxide catalysts.
Catalyzied several reactions such as the oxidation of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons,
and volatile organic compounds and the decomposition of nitrogen oxides with the
catalytic materials of excellent performance.
Synthesis of complexes and investigation of crystals
Research Assistant, asvisor: Prof. Xie Yabo
Synthesized the complex Pentaaqua
(1H-benzimidazole-5,6-dicarboxylato-jN3)copper(II) pentahydrat. Investigated the
single crystals we synthesized by X-ray.
Synthesized the complex by carefully ayering a solution of Cu(NO3)2.3H2O in MeOH on
top of a solution of H2L and LiOH in H2O in a test-tube.
Green block-shaped single crystals suitable for X-ray investigation appeared at the
boundary between MeOH and H2O with a yield of 25%, after about several months at room
temperature.
Synthesis of complexes and investigation of crystals

Synthesized a novel europium complex {[Eu2(bmd)2(Hbmd)2(H2O)8]·8H2O} (H2bmd =
Benzimidazole-5,6-dicarboxylic acid).
Determined the complex structurally by X-ray diffraction single crystal structure
analysis.
Investigated the properties of the complex at room temperature.
