It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the half way mark of this first semester, and in a few months,

Commencement 2014 will be upon us. Your student’s senior year is almost over and they will soon finish their last days here at Rensselaer.

Achieving the status of “senior” is cause for celebration that started this term and will continue throughout the entire school year. Our yearbook staff is hard at work chronicling the events of the year and creating a special publication - through images and words - of the unforgettable moments of this final year at Rensselaer

Polytechnic Institute.

So that we can create a yearbook filled with lasting memories that will be delivered in the Fall 2014 , we are hoping we can count on your assistance and support.

1. Please remind your graduate to schedule a senior portrait appointment.

One of the most important aspects of the yearbook is the traditional portraits of the graduating students. We are working, in conjunction with Prestige Portraits by Lifetouch, to simplify this process and to assure that your student will have their professional portrait in the Senior Section. Portraits will be taken November 5 th – 8 th .

It is essential that your graduate schedule an appointment for their portrait by logging on to

, entering School Code 257 or by calling 1-800-OUR-YEAR ™ (687-9327), Monday –

Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Please note if you do not participate in senior portraits at this time, this will mean that you will not be included in the Senior Section of the Transit Yearbook.

2. Order your copy of the 2014 RPI TRANSIT Yearbook.

We cannot over emphasize the importance of purchasing a yearbook for your graduate. Y our student’s time at RPI will be a distinctive period of their life that will be remembered differently by each student. We strive to produce a representation of what it is we all share during our days at college, with hopes of eliciting everyone’s individual memories of their undergraduate years. Be sure to give the gift that will truly make your student’s memories come alive. Please log on to www.transit.union.rpi.edu

to purchase a copy of the

TRANSIT Yearbook for your graduate now! Please remember the TRANSIT will be shipped in fall 2014; please be sure to enter a permanent mailing address for delivery at that time. Order your yearbook before

March 31 st and you will have the option to personalize the front cover of your yearbook.

3. Add to the celebration of your student’s upcoming graduation by personalizing your graduate’s

2014 yearbook with a special Message of Congratulations!

The staff is dedicating a special section of the yearbook to the seniors in which families can express their personal pride in the success and achievement of their student. The process is simple. Create a memory to last a lifetime by selecting a size on the enclosed order form. Write/type your message of congratulations, include your payment and submit original pictures or a CD of high resolution photos for that special touch! Your Personal

Message will be bound with all the good times and memories of college – to last forever.

On behalf of our entirely student-run st aff, we congratulate you on your son/daughter’s upcoming graduation and thank you for your time, effort and order. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our office at 518.276.4122 or via email at transit@union.rpi.edu

.
