ASB / Leadership
The ASB / Leadership Course is an active, fun, high energy class
in which students learn the basic elements of leadership and
decision making, including how to participate in an effectively run
meeting, parliamentary process, democratic procedures,
presentations, and how to be part of a team. These elements will
be applied toward the planning and execution of school wide
activities and events which are designed to increase student
enjoyment, morale, and pride in their school and community.
Students will be expected to participate fully in all activities, to
maintain a positive attitude, and to be good representatives of the
values, goals, and spirit of Santana High School at all times.

Both courses run concurrently,
meaning students enrolled in this
elective class will be members of
both the Journalism/Yearbook
program as well as the
ASB/Leadership program. As
such, they will enjoy the
privileges and bear the
responsibilities of both classes.
This is a high-energy, busy
program and students should
expect to be active every day.
