McDonald Financial Group Sponsors Mikhail Gorbachev Lecture
at Florida Gulf Coast University
The University Lecture Series at Florida Gulf Coast University is honored to
present Mikhail Gorbachev through the generous support of McDonald Financial Group.
Mr. Gorbachev’s lecture, “Peace in the 21st Century,” will be presented on March 28, at
6 p.m., at Alico Arena on the FGCU campus.
The former leader of the Soviet Union from 1985 until 1991, President Gorbachev
is best known for his role in the ending the Cold War. Since leaving office, Mr.
Gorbachev founded several organizations. He is the President of the International
Foundation for Socio-Economic and Political Studies (The Gorbachev Foundation), and
the Green Cross International. He is also a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize (1990).
