The family practices the evacuation of the home every three months
Emergency phone numbers are posted by each phone.
Including 911, Poison Control, the family doctor, work numbers of both
parents, and the cell phone numbers of both parents
The home has smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors
The home has one or more emergency flashlights and extra batteries
The family has an emergency water supply for drinking, cooking, and
personal hygiene
The family has an emergency heat source
The family has emergency shelter
The family has a year’s supply of food and necessities
