We picked The Tower of Doom for our ride. The Tower of Doom is a free fall ride. We choose it
because there was no free fall rides in the park. We also picked it because it sounded like an awesome
idea.
The way we used magnets in our ride is amazing. Our ride is contained in a copper tube. When the ride
goes up the copper tube it is pulled by magnetic pulleys. When the magnetic pulley reaches the top it
automatically switches positive to positive. Then when the magnetic saucer goes down the copper tube
it is attracted to the tube in every way so it stays right in the middle of the tube and falls slowly. The
materials in the Ride will be copper, steel, wood and other materials that may or may not be magnetic
or able to attract or repel magnets. Elements of the ride will be a very scary free fall on a pole. The
people will sit in a magnetic saucer that will slide down a pole [through the middle.] We decided that
the pole will be 100 Ft tall. That way the ride won’t be to short or to long. Last but not least including
everything all together it will cost 142,008.00
