Assurant Solutions is one of the leading Insurance companies in the USA. Assurant’s
EPS (Extended Protection Solutions) line of business provides Extended Warranty
(EW). Extended Warranty is a Mainframe system that handles contract
administration, Earning calculations, Claims Reserves calculations, Commissions,
Accounts Receivable and all Accounting Interfaces to Smart Stream AP and GL. Only
the Assurant Solutions internal users can access the EW application. Business and
Accounting Users are the primary users of the application. Business processing team
uses EW online screens to maintain the Business. This is a stand alone system.
 Analysis and requirement gathering for new projects and work requests assigned
on PPM.
 Creating low level technical design document as per requirement.
 Changing current programs or coding new programs as per requirement.
 Responsible for code walkthrough and cross-reviews of the developed code.
 Unit testing of the developed code.
 Deploying the developed code to production.
 Handling batch cycle Incidents and service calls registered by the business users
in HP service desk.
 Weekly progress meeting with client.
 Meetings with business user when implementing a new company in this
application.
 Creating monthly SLA sheet for Extended Warranty application.
