Thematic module 1. Basic concepts of pharmacy compounding. Powders
Pharmacy compounding as science. Purpose and task of the subject. Basic terms and concept of
pharmacy compounding. History of development of pharmacy compounding. Classification of medical
forms. Medical and auxiliary matters. Concept about doses. Containers and other materials which are
used in pharmacy practice.
State setting of norms of pharmacy compounding and basic normatively-technical documents.
Prescription, forms of prescription blanks, rules of its registration, structure. Sanitary and
pharmaceutical mode.
Dosage in pharmacy compounding (by mass, volume and drops). Structure and verification of tare and
hand scales. The features of dosage of medications by mass depending on their consistency.
