MEMBERS IN NEED OF OUR PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus, when you walked upon this earth, You healed the sick, gave sight
to the blind, caused the lame to walk, and raised the dead. Now we come to You in
behalf of those who are in need today and pray that You would send them your
healing power. Hear our prayer for Your name’s sake. Amen.

CONGREGATION COUNCIL is looking for ways to support the local
community with the distribution from the Clyde Hare estate. For those of you who
did not know Clyde, he was a member who contributed significantly to St. John
over the years and continued his generosity by naming St. John in his will. We’ve
already used a portion of his gift for benevolence giving in 2014, but Council
would like to select a project or group of projects that would benefit the local
Boiling Springs community. Please see Scott McDowell or another council
member with any ideas you have. We’re sure there are ways that we can reach out
and help others…please help us find them.
LWR Personal Care Kits & Soap are especially needed this year. The following
items are needed for the kits.
One light-weight bath towel (20x40) to (52x27), dark color recommended.
Two bath size soap bars (4 to 5oz), any brand wrapped.
One adult-size toothbrush in packaging
One sturdy comb (no picks or fine-toothed), remove packaging
One metal nail clippers, remove packaging.
Please place donations in the box under the bell rope at the entrance.

At Praise Him with Parables (Jesus Makes a Difference in Boiling Springs), kids
explore the mighty love of God on a journey that will change them forever! Praise
Him with Parables is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see,
hear, touch and even taste! Bible Point crafts, team-building games, cool Bible
songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the Praise Him with Parables activities that
help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little
messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.)
So mark these dates on your calendar: July 13 - 17. The fun starts at 6pm for a
light dinner and will end at 8:30pm. Call this number 960-0668 (Sandy Lewis) to
register your children for this life-changing adventure!
