Principal investigator : Community based survey of Knowledge and beliefs of Adolescents regarding reproductive health in Sindh, Pakistan (2002). This is a community based survey which has identified the reproductive health needs and knowledge and beliefs of rural adolescents regarding HIV/AIDS, STIs, Contraceptives and iron deficiency anemia in Sindh,

Pakistan. It’s the only survey of its kind which has been conducted at the community level.

Co -PI: AIDS training and research grant (AITRP) submitted to The National Institute of

Health (NIH), USA. Grant seeked to establish a South-South collaborative training for

 training reserchers in the field of HIV/AIDS. Collaboration is between The Aga Khan

University, Karachi, University of Alabama (UAB), USA, and KSU, Riyadh.

Project coordinator : Evaluation of UNICEF funded Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) and

Nutritional Support Programme (NSP), Sindh (August 2002 – February 2003).

Output to Purpose Review (OPR) of non-governmental organizations [Marie Stopes Society (MSS) and Pakistan Voluntary Health and Nutrition Association (PAVHNA)], funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), UK (April – June 2002).
