Stock Yards – U.S. Foodservice Tampa specialist recognized as
world’s best
Certified Angus Beef ® brand names Hubie Graham its “Specialist of the Year”
WOOSTER, Ohio – Feb. 16, 2009 – Hubie Graham of Stock Yards – U.S.
Foodservice Tampa, Clearwater, Fla., was recognized as “Specialist of the Year”
by Certified Angus Beef LLC. The award, presented at the company’s annual
foodservice seminar, recognized Graham’s commitment to the Certified Angus
Beef ® brand and driving sales.
“Hubie is a true Certified Angus Beef ® brand specialist who takes the role very
seriously,” said Mark Polzer, vice president of business development for Certified
Angus Beef LLC. “He has demonstrated steady commitment to the brand and
achieved long-term, big-picture growth.”
In addition to driving sales of Certified Angus Beef ® brand products, criteria for
the “Specialist of the Year” title include excelling at the education of his or her
sales team and culinary professionals, focusing on brand awareness, and offering
unwavering attention to the integrity of the brand. Brand staff who have worked
with Graham attest he excels in all of those areas – and more.

Randy Whittemore, executive account manager for the brand’s Southeast region.

-2As the specialist for Stock Yards – U.S. Foodservice Tampa, Graham focuses on education and
training of staff members. In addition to his efforts with his local company, he conducts educational
sessions for several culinary schools in the region, and also conducts “Beef 101” courses at the
University of Florida. Graham also developed a Product Knowledge University program for U.S.
Foodservice at the corporate level, featuring a manual he developed through his work with the
Certified Angus Beef ® brand, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Canadian Beef
Grading Agency.
Graham accepted the award at the brand’s annual seminar for foodservice specialists from around
the world. Attendees discussed sales strategies, marketing resources, approaches for merchandising,
and training at the Feb. 4-6 session in Birmingham, Ala.
