Corporate Social Responsibility
The Trustees of West Warwick’s Sports Club set the values and standards of the Club and work to ensure
that the Club meets its obligations to all members and visitors.
We are committed to the principles of corporate social responsibility and to apply these across all levels of
the business.
CSR Policy
Environment
We believe that sustainable development links to long term value creation.
We will strive to maximise sustainability through opportunities in life cycle design. We will measure and
continually make improvements in, environmental performance and we will manage our key environment
impacts with respect to climate change.
Employees
We will strive to be the employer of choice by employing the best from our community where possible.
We will engage with, consult, care for and invest in our staff, We will encourage diversity.
The Market
We will work with our suppliers and customers to improve working conditions.
We will continuously learn and implement better ways of working.
Community & Workplace
We will ensure that the communities in which we work are supported and treated with due consideration
and respect. We will actively support our local communities, local authorities and local educational
institutions.
We will strive to achieve the highest standards of Health & Safety performance. We will act with honesty
and integrity in everything we do.
Supporting and underpinning our main CSR policy are further documents including the Health & Safety
Policy, the Environmental Policy.
Travel
We seek to minimise the adverse environmental effects of people travelling to and from our facilities by
encouraging the following.
Avoid unnecessary travel by making use of instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, telephone
and email
Share Travel information including promotion of a club members’ car share scheme, cycling, walking
and public transport, including bus and rail travel, and Park and Ride.
Reduce the proportion of staff, visitors and members regularly travelling alone to the club by car.
Increase the use of public transport (bus and train) as a means of travel to work.
Increase the number of staff, visitors and members who regularly cycle and walk to work.

Compliance
The West Warwick’s Sports Club will review compliance against this policy statement on an annual basis.
Additions/amendments to this policy will be conducted through the approval of the Board of Trustees.
