Microbiology Taster Week
Aims of taster placement:
-understand the role of a microbiologist
-gain experience of liaison with laboratory staff, infection control nurses & public health professionals
-understand the role of infection control nurses
-insight into how microbiologists process clinical information & integrate with diagnostic information
-recognise basic laboratory layout
-awareness of laboratory safety
