LakerApps
 Google Reader - The CTAB Education Committee asked that the Appl/Equip Committee
look at Google Reader, a service to read RSS feeds. Paul Taylor determined that Google
has not made Google Reader available to Apps for Education users.
 Google Sites - The CTAB Education Committee asked that the Appl/Equip Committee
look at Google Sites, a service for web page creation.
o The Committee has asked CTS to first evaluate the technical issues and determine
if delivering Sites is feasible and/or what are the concerns.
o There were major concerns by both CTS and Committee last Spring.
 SmartSheet – is a paid service (purchased through GoogleApps Marketplace) that
provides Project Management tools. It was described as a “super-lite version of MS
Project”. This is currently available to the campus community.
Computer User Privileges
 The bulk of the meeting was spent discussing, reviewing and editing the document on
computer user privileges.
 The extensive discussion provided additional issues to include in the document.
 Natalie, Chris and Joe will continue work on the document to be presented at the next
Appl/Equip Meeting.
 The goal is to present this document to all of CTAB at the December meeting.
