PARENT GUIDE TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM
1. Log into the students google drive.
2. Clicking classroom will open a new window.
3. Click the
+
sign to see options
4. Join a class with a class code given to the student by the
teacher. Type code and “JOIN”
5. Open the class by clicking on the name of the class.
When in the classroom, there are 3 elements:
STREAM, CLASSMATES, ABOUT
Assignments will be listed in STREAM, by clicking on
the name of the assignment
a new window opens with information about the
assignment and any documents (from google
documents)attached. No doc on the example.
To hand in the assignment, click the
+ icon
This will open a pull-down menu. Work should be done in the
google document. Click google drive
Find the assignment from the drive and click add
Hand in an assignment then find the document, click add.
When you see the file in the window, click
TURN IN
