Cookie Booth Rules of Behavior

 Wear a Girl Scout uniform, pin or T-shirt.

 Be polite and friendly.

 DO NOT SHOUT at people or yell, “Buy Girl Scout Cookies”.

 Say “Thank you” even if someone does not buy any cookies!

 Keep the table and sales area neat and clean - No eating, drinking or chewing gum at the booth.

 No running or fooling around at the booth.

 Do not get in the way of customers going in and out of the surrounding stores/offices.

 Clean up after the booth – take all garbage with you!

Important for Leader & Troop Cookie Manager:

 Two adults are required at the booth. Girls should arrive in shifts of no more than 4 girls at a time.

 Do not bring any additional, unregistered children to the booth.

What's wrong with this booth?

• Food and drink at booth

• Girl is doing homework

• Girl is yelling

• Non-Girl Scout family member/friend

• Girls are not smiling or being warm and pleasant to prospective customers

• Girl is listening to music

• No cookies on display

• No adult supervision

Sign is sloppy, does not designate product for sale as Girl Scout Cookies, and troop is not clearly identified

Neither girl is wearing a sash

What's right with this booth?

• Girls are smiling and making eye contact, ready to greet potential customers in a welcoming way

• Girls are wearing sashes (or other Girl Scout apparel)

• Appropriate adult supervision

• At least two, but no more than six girls present (excludes individually reg. girls)

• Sign is neat, clearly identifies booth as Girl Scout cookie booth and includes troop number

• Sign showcases troop goals

• Table is neat and clean with cookie varieties on display
