FOOD BOOTH PARTICIPANTS’ AGREEMENT

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. All Food Booths must comply with Alberta Health Services' requirements as per their "Special Events
Temporary Food Establishment Vendor Package".
2. No Food Booth participant/representative(s) are to damage, change or in any way deface the Festival
premises.
3. The Site Supervisor, Maintenance and Security Personnel are to have access at all times to the space
occupied by each Food Booth participant.
4. The Food Booth participant will be liable for, indemnify and hold harmless, the Canmore Folk Music
Festival, its Coordinating Committee and Volunteers, and the Town of Canmore for any loss or
damages whatsoever occurring to or suffered by any person or company (including the Food Booth
participant, other Food Booth participants, and members of the public) attending the festival either
on the said space or elsewhere if said loss or damages arose from or were in any way connected
with Food Booth participant’s occupancy of said space.
5. Without restricting the generality of clause 4 above the food booth operators agree to adhere to
regulations regarding Food Booths for Special Events at our festival and with the requirements of
Alberta Health Services.
6. The Canmore Folk Music Festival reserves the right to designate where food booths will be located
throughout the duration of the festival.
7. The Food Booth participant is responsible for the safety and compliance to the safety code (3 prong
with ground) for any extension cords/electrical devices used at the site. All electrical
cords/electrical devices are subject to inspection by Festival Staff.
8. This contract may be canceled by either party provided written notice is received by the other at least
four (4) weeks prior to the first day of the festival, in which case all monies paid by the Food
Booth participant will be refunded. If the Food Booth participant cancels within the four (4) weeks
prior to the Festival a 50% refund will only be given if a replacement Food Booth participant can be
found. By canceling this contract, the Canmore Folk Music Festival is free to rent the space to
others.
9. The Food Booth participant agrees to alter or remove certain items or any part thereof, including
printed materials, products, signs, lights or sound, or their personnel if, in the Canmore Folk Music
Festival’s opinion, their conduct or presentation is objectionable.
10. The Food Booth participant agrees to confine their operation within the contracted space only.
11. The Food Booth participant agrees to maintain staff in the Food Booth space during the festival hours
as follows:
Saturday, Aug. 1:
3:30 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 2:
10.00 a.m. - 11.00 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 3:
10.00 a.m. - *8.00 p.m. (minimum)
*We encourage everyone to stay until the concert is over at approximately 10.00 p.m.
For safety reasons, NO VEHICLES will be permitted on the grounds until the evening concert is
over and the last audience member has left the site following the Monday night finale.
