CLASS of 2015 INFORMATION
Congratulations, Seniors! You are almost at the finish line.
Before you receive your diploma, here are some important upcoming events and things you need to know.
DEBTS must be paid by May 15 in order for you to pick up your cap and gown at 10:00 on May 21 in
the auditorium. Debts include: Textbooks (Mrs. Epps), Teacher owed debts, Books, Media Center
(Mrs. Murrey-Settle), Uniforms (Coaches), Band (Mr. Young), Herff-Jones (363-1905), and Class Dues
(Mrs. G). Your textbooks must be turned in to Mrs. Epps by May 19 (or sooner.)
SENIOR AWARDS BANQUET will be held on Friday, May 22 at the Morocco Temple. A buffet
dinner (including chicken, beef, and veggie entrée) will be served at 6:00pm followed by a
presentation of outside scholarships and class awards. The cost is $20 per attendee. All students
and parents are invited to attend! Dress is business casual.
Money and reservations are due to Mrs. Glendinning by THIS Friday, May 8.
BACCALAUREATE will be held Monday, June 1 at 7:00 PM at Christ’s Church in Mandarin. This is a
non- denominational, student-led and organized ceremony. Mr. Knight will be the guest speaker,
along with fellow graduate, Matt Young. Graduates will wear their cap and gown and should arrive
and be in line to process in at 6:45. The ceremony lasts approximately an hour followed by a short
reception held in the foyer of the church.
CAP, GOWN, CORD(s), MEDALLION, and TICKET DISTRIBUTION is on May 21 in the auditorium at
10:00. Doors will open at 9:40 and will close at 10:00. Due to disruption, late arrivals will not be
allowed inside the auditorium after 10:00. Mrs. Glendinning has a list of students taking an ALT exam,
and a list of students on college tours. Those students may pick up their items on May 28 or May 29
from 8:00-9:00 in room 702. This is a mandatory activity.
SENIOR VIDEO YEARBOOK produced by the Leadership Class, will be shown on May 21 after cap
and gown distribution. It will be available for purchase for $10. Money and orders for the DVD can
be turned in by May 8 to Mrs. Glendinning.
YEARBOOKS will be distributed in the courtyard (for seniors only) on May 21 after the cap, gown,
and cord distribution, and the viewing of the senior video.
SENIOR ACTIVITIES are held the last week of May and are $10/per event or $30 for all (golf,
bowling, movie, and carnival.) If you purchased the senior package, senior activities are paid in full.
If you would like to attend and need to pay for activities, the deadline is May 15.
GRADUATION DVD Your graduation ceremony will be professionally recorded by an outside
company. Copies of the DVD are available for purchase for $15. The DVD will be mailed to the
address you provide. Money and orders for the DVD can be turned until May 22 to Mrs. G.
MANDATORY GRADUATION REHEARSALS will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 10:00 in the Stanton
auditorium and again on Wednesday, June 3 at 8:00 at the UNF arena.
GRADUATION will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at 4:00 at the UNF arena. Seniors should arrive by
3:00, enter through the side, carrying cap and gown. The front doors will open to the general public
at 3:15. All guests must present a ticket to enter.
DRESS FOR BACCALAUREATE AND GRADUATION
Boys -
Blue cap and gown over a white dress shirt, dark tie, with dark (blue or black) dress slacks (NO
khaki) and dark dress shoes with socks. NO jeans, shorts, athletic shoes, boat shoes, or other
casual footwear.
Girls – Blue cap and gown over a dress or dark colored pants shorter than the gown, and dark dress
shoes. Wedges and flats are acceptable. NO jeans, shorts, athletic shoes, or other casual footwear.
